Ford Recalls 117,000 F-150, E-Series, Escape and Lincoln MKC Vehicles
Bad bolts related to the seats may not hold occupants in a crash or a sudden stop.

— Ford is recalling nearly 117,000 model year 2014 Ford F-150 and E-Series trucks and vans, and 2014-2015 Ford Escape and 2015 Lincoln MKC SUVs to replace bolts used for the seats, seatbacks, seat belts and/or seat belt buckles.

The bolts may not be up to specification and could fail during sudden stops or crashes, although Ford says no injuries have been reported.

Included in the recall are 94,605 vehicles in the U.S., 20,681 in Canada and 1,510 vehicles in Mexico.

Ford didn't release many details about what caused the bolt problems, but dealers will need to replace all affected bolts.

The recall is expected to begin August 28, 2017. Owners with questions may contact Ford at 866-436-7332 and use recall number 17S17.
