GM Recalls Chevy Spark to Fix Passenger Airbags
Chevrolet Spark recalled to fix airbags that could harm young children in the passenger seats.

— General Motors is recalling more than 55,000 model year 2016-2017 Chevy Spark cars because the front passenger airbags could harm occupants.

If the front passenger seat is occupied by a young child not wearing a seat belt, the airbag may cause neck injuries.

GM didn't release more details and neither did the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, other than the automaker doesn't know how to fix the problem and is currently working on a solution, so there is no clue when the recall will begin.

Owners with questions should call 800-222-1020 and ask about recall number 17199.
