Volvo Recalls S60, V60 and XC60 Vehicles to Fix Side Airbags
Volvo recalls 377 cars and SUVs to fix seat-mounted side airbags that may fail during a crash.

— Volvo is recalling 377 cars and SUVs to fix airbags that may fail to deploy in a crash. Recalled are the 2017 Volvo S60 and S60 Cross Country, Volvo V60 and V60 Cross Country and the Volvo XC60.

The automaker says both front seat-mounted side airbags have inflator initiators that may not ignite during a crash, causing failures of the airbags to deploy.

The recalled Volvo cars and SUVs were built August 16, 2016, through October 21, 2016.

Volvo doesn't know when the recall will begin, but dealers are expected to replace the side airbags if needed.

Owners of the recalled cars and SUVs may contact Volvo at 800-458-1552. Volvo's number for this recall is R89712.
