Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Continuation of affected parts: Latches/locks/linkages and parking brake, your site states recalls for 2006 BMW 750I, but BMW said there is no recalls for my VIN. I have been having multiple safety issues with this vehicle. I have been having problems with the latches/locks on all four doors, they repeatedly go lock and unlock. I was driving down the street with my 3 year old grandchild and his door came open. The car also accelerates and shuts down almost like is going to stop. Parking brake light will not go off and it makes a grinding noise.

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 750li. The contact stated that the parking brake would not latch, causing the vehicle to roll away when parked and shut off. In addition, the automatic door latch was inoperable and while driving 30 mph, he had to hold the driver side door to keep it from opening. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that there were no recalls for the vehicle and offered no assistance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 67,000.
