Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2006 BMW 760I. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 mph, the front driver's side door unexpectedly unlatched. The vehicle was equipped with the comfort access and soft close automatic options. The door would only remain closed while holding with your hand while driving. There was a recall under NHTSA campaign id number 12V504000 (latches/locks/linkages) but the VIN was not included. The vehicle was currently being diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 91,900.
