Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

I am the owner of a 2006 BMW 760 li, purchased in late 2008 from a Georgia dealership and shipped to honolulu. My wife is the primary and daily user of said vehicle. Currently, I'm so afraid for my wife, passengers and myself when entering this vehicle due to it's unsafe and hazardous state. I don't know what to do or if I have a right to but, I'm hoping for assistance to have my vehicle operating again in proper working condition. The following complaints are with BMW of honolulu (boh) service department. I chose boh because I thought they were the most reputable and best qualified BMW service center here in Hawaii, so I thought. First complaint, coolant low lite illuminated on at least five separate occasions. System was troubleshot, parts replaced and still leaking approximately 4 cups per month, I was charged for replacement of parts. 2nd complaint, reported driver side window inop. After techs troubleshot, quote of $381.25/window motor, $250.50/labor. Later, regulator and lift assembly were also replaced. My charge was $1197.08. Third complaint: Boh service rep insisted front tires require change. Week prior, safety check was done. My charge was $1429.99. Fourth complauint: Reported display icons illuminated. As boh techs troubleshot, they incurred five shorted faults while attempting to volt check across various modules and switch cluster/S. service rep told me to take my car off their property because he didn┐T want to work on it anymore. When I requested he send a shuttle to pick up my wife, he said, no, take your car out of here. These are just brief scenarios of really what happened. I would like to go into more detail.

BMW of nashville is telling me I need a new motor in my 2006 750I BMW; the engine only has 59,000 miles on it. They say the engine block is bad. I am 9,000 miles out of warranty so they are saying is all on me. I have had all services required and not once was it brought to my attention that my engine was going bad and now it's gone from being good to needing another engine? due to the mileage I have on the engine and I find this to be a defected engine and would ask for assistance in this matter.

Problem with engine oil consumption; on April 2007 -mileage 8936 warning -low oil-ad 1.5Q. On 29 May 2007-warn low oil- ad 1.5Q oil. On Aug 2007-warn low oil-ad 1.5 Q oil on Dec 2007-warn low oil-added 2.5 Q oil Sept 30 2008-warn low oil-added 1 Q oil at loc dealership. This is not a normal oil consumption of the high end vehicle BMW series 7 or any other high end vehicle. So far I have not been given a reasonable explanation. Dealer ship (peake BMW) is advising that no oil leaks noted and oil not coming out trough the tail pipe " so what is going on" can someone at bwm recognize and acknowledge this problem or do I have to go back and contact BMW in germany and ask for their assistance. I have had and still do ( mb S500, BMW 535I etc.) and never had any problem like this. Have other vehicles and trucks and never had to add any oil in between the services. This is embarrassing, driving $85K vehicle and have to stop at the gas station to fill up some oil "?"
