1. the engine, when braking at a stop sign, races. This failure occurred five (5) times in less than 200 miles. When the vehicle is stopped, the engine races requiring heavy pressure application to the brakes to ensure that the vehicle does not move into traffic. Vehicle was delivered on 11/2/13.2. failure on 11/3. tech confirmed the above failure. (odometer in 255 mi. Odometer out: 262.) the ca taken was "interrogated fault memory. Performed programming determination session. Programmed dme and test drove. 2. the vehicle was driven approx. 42 miles from motorwerks to my residence without issue on 11/8, 13. Odometer 304 miles. 3. the vehicle was not driven on 11/ 9/2013, 2013 failure after repair: Mileage at time of failure: 307 mi. 4. the vehicle was driven 11/10/13. Outside air tem 37 deg. Vehicle was driven five miles and a surge occurred at the stop sign. With foot on brake, a surge of 2500 rpms on the tachometer occurred. Frequency of occurrence during this drive was twice to my residence. Odometer 309 miles. 5. the vehicle was parked for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Odometer out: 309. The vehicle was then test driven by my husband in a nonresidential area. The vehicle was stopped 30 times and there was a recurrence of the engine surge. Frequency: One 6. vehicle picked on a flatbed. Odometer 323.11/11/13.8. dealership determined the problem was the accelerator pedal was faulty. Requested permission for a lengthy drive to ensure it was corrected. "test drove vehicle over 200 mi without incident". returned vehicle on 11/14/2013. 7.requested copy of internal report on vehicle. Dealership rep stated that he needed to get approval. No response. Second request. No response.I would like to know the verification process that ensured that there will be no recurrence.we have added 120 mi since.
