The FCW system was inoperative at purchase and to be fixed at a later date. Vehicle was placed into repair status on 27 Dec 2014. Dealer is unable to repair the problem as of 1/7/2015 and I am out of a vehicle. BMW has been notified with no results from them. Dealer states that they have never seen this problem and they do not know how to fix it. BMW-USA has been useless in support.
During engine start the icon for the FCW lights up. The switch to turn the FCW is on and states that the system is operative but that is as far as it goes. It has not worked and there is no estimate on when it will be fixed.
