- Passlock/VATS Bypass - This site sells a part that will bypass your defective passlock system. You are not alone because many many people have been kept out of thier OWN cars because of this defective system. This part will bypass the whole system so you never have trouble again. It is much cheaper than taking it to a dealer. Worth a look for sure.

This has happened 7 times in 18 months, always when it's an emergency - late for work, school, etc. Truck tries to start, then passlock light comes on - engine dies. Will turn over but not fire - security system issue. Remove key open and reclose door, wait 10 to fifteen minutes & maybe will start. This morning (03/16/2010) had to go through sequence twice before truck would start. Hopefully this will never happen in the middle of nowhere when I need to make an emergency run to the ER with one of my kids. If anybody has any ideas - please email me. I can't afford $$$$.$$ for a dealer right now. Thanks
