Summary
GENERAL MOTORS HAS DETERMINED THAT CERTAIN 1995 CHEVROLET CAVALIER MODELS MAY NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS) 208, 'OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION'. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH SOME WELDS OMITTED FROM THE BODY LOCK PILLAR, OR 'B' PILLAR. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE MAY NOT MEET GENERAL MOTORS' STRUCTURAL STANDARDS, AND IF A VEHICLE CRASH SHOULD OCCUR, OCCUPANT PROTECTION LEVELS COULD BE REDUCED. TO PREVENT THIS CONDITION FROM OCCURRING, THE INVOLVED VEHICLES WILL BE REPURCHASED BY CHEVROLET MOTOR DIVISION OR WILL BE REPLACED WITH A COMPARABLE VEHICLE AT NO CHARGE. *SD
