My daughter was driving on 288 in Houston TX and the brake assist light came on. The car would not stop. She had to hit the emergency brake to make the car stop. She then had to get the car towed. Once they started looking at the car, we found out the vacuum pump had shattered in the car into a million pieces. Then the dealer tells me the part is on back order and they can't tell me how long its going to take to get them in.
What kind of ish is that? I don't understand how that piece of thick metal burst. They should recall the 2018 Chevy Cruzes if we cant get the part and its on back order . Clearly it's an ongoing issue. Lucky for them my daughter did not get hurt or have an accident. She is only 17, Chevy has got to do better. They want to charge an arm and a leg for a damn car but then cheaply put them together.
