Part 2 of the LEMON TURD chevy equinox. Woke up this morning with the first chill of fall. Had to crank the heater on. Awful odor of Antifreeze came from the vents. Thought it might be cus it hasn't run all summer...let it run...after 10 min odor was almost unbearable and you could switch it to cool and the odor stopped. Co-Worker is a mechanic says its probably a failed heater core. Online says its a DEXCOOL issue...either way I see major issues coming my way. On my way to Dealership anyway for the ABS issue...Don't buy this car...EVER!!! Oh and did i mention the popping noise it makes or the grinding squeal that Chevy/GM can't seem to resolve.
