I see that another car had the steering go out completely like on my Equinox. Am truly luck and blessed that I was in a parking lot when the steering totally gave out. I had just gotten off of the expressway and parked at a store. After leaving the store and backing up my steering wheel was able to spin like a spinning top. I had to call for a tow truck and I am awaiting to hear how much it will cost me to get it repaired. A recall on 2005 Chevrolet Equinox should be done now before someone possibly dies from a crash from this problem.
