About 18 months ago (early summer of 2013) when my husband drove the car on the highway, all of a sudden the dashboard meters - speedometer, temperature gauge and fuel gauge all went crazy. They jerked quickly back and forth. A few other things went crazy at the same time - the seat belt warning sound went off even though we were all wearing the seat belt; the door lock and unlocked constantly; the clutch make noises.

It didn't happen when we drove it again the next day. We took it to the dealer Chevy deal Jim Ellis, but they didn't see the problem, and couldn't diagnose either. We got the car back without charge, without a record with the dealer either (this we found out recently)

Three weeks ago, the same crazy thing happened during a 1.5 hour drive, then went away. A week later, it happened again during a 1.5 hour drive, and it didn't stop the next day on local road. However, it stopped a few days later.

We took the car to the same dealer Jim Ellis, letting them know it was the second time we brought the car in for the same problem. However, they didn't find the record for the first one. They could not observe the issue after having one of the foremen drive 80 miles, from dealership to his home, then back to dealership. One of the managers also drove with me for another 15 miles without seeing the problem. They told me there was nothing they could do without seeing the problem. It's been a week, the car has been driven only 20 miles or so, and we've not observed the same problem. We've seen similar complaints that lead to engine stopping suddenly while driving. We're concerned about the issue causing the car to malfunction.
