I'M FRUSTRATED WITH CALLING CHEVY. THE KEY STUCK IN IGNITION DRAINS YOUR BATTERY. IT LEAVES YOU VULNERABLE, AS A WOMAN IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON 2008 MODELS. I'M VERY UPSET WITH CHEVY FOR NOT CARING.

put the vehicle in park and turn the key to cut the engine off. You can't pull the key out

Equinox LT 3.4V6

The key gets stuck in the ignition, which prevented the vehicle from being turned off. I think it should be a recall for that. I never had so many problems compare to Ford vehicle I had before.

Problem is on-going. Have had the problem from the day the car was purchased (used) Can only assume it has been a problem from the day if rolled off the assembly line. Have had it in for repair five times to no avail. Replaced ignition switch, not fixed, stretched cable from the gear shift to the steering column, no change, replaced the cable, no change. UGH! We are destined to hold our breath when we turn the car off - hoping the key will let loose. Sometimes it does and most times it doesn't.
