Sometimes, the ignition key will not turn into the locked position so I can remove it. I have tried shifting back into park or neutral, turning the wheel one way and then the other, cranking back up and backing up a few feet, then making sure the wheels are straight, pushing the key more into the steering column or pulling it out slightly, jiggling it a bit, sitting and cursing loudly. So far, I have been able to remove the key within 5 or 10 minutes. It is extremely aggravating and I keep thinking at some point, probably somewhere strange in the dead of night, it is just going to refuse to budge. I have had other expenses with this vehicle lately and am in no mood to incur more right now. Suggestions? Help?

When I turn my vehicle off the key doesn't fully release, lights are all on so it's draining the battery at the same time. I have to wait til the car feels like it wants to make a click noise to then allow me to turn the key the rest of the way and pull it out. This happens every time I turn the car off. I got a replacement key and it happens with that key as well so I know it's not the key.

Dealership ran diagnostics and said "no codes came back but not everything shows up on the computer so we can just replace the whole steering column and see if that fixes it"......... I'm sorry but I'm not spending a ton of money to do process of elimination. Turning the steering wheel doesn't work and switching gears doesn't do a thing, only thing that works is playing a 5-10 min waiting game to hear the stupid single click that tells me it's released. It's too hot outside to sit in a car waiting for a click.
