I brought the vehicle in for running rough about 2 wks previously. Turned out it had jumped the timing for the 2nd time. I only had the vehicle back 1 wk and started having issues. Brought it in again. They again gave me a loner vehicle at no cost. They had the vehicle 2 days. They did the following: R&R Transmission, Replace Torque converter housing gasket and seal, Cooler line seals, and transfer case to transmission seals. Flushed Transmission fluid cooler. Cost was $2,387.36 which was covered under extended warranty.
Question is, why weren't these issues addressed 2 wks previous when in for jumped timing for the 2nd time. Brought vehicle in on Monday 03/05/18 and told the agent I was dealing with that the engine light was flickering on and off. He said to bring it back in a wk if it continued. The vehicle being monitored for over oil usage. I have to bring in to Chevy dealer every 1000 miles. Since they just put seals in I asked when I had to report again for oil usage issue. He gave me his card with millage written on it when I was required back.
On 3/11/18 I attempted to use vehicle to run to the store. The vehicle will not go into reverse. It is also running like it was when it skipped timing the other 2 times. I am calling the dealership on Monday. They will have to tow the vehicle because it is not driveable. It is still under the extended warranty for about 8,000 more miles. I'm thinking reverse shot on tranny. Since I received it back after the new seals put in it pops into gear hard. The engine has been noticeably louder before and after timing jump issue. This vehicle has only been serviced at Chevy Dealerships since I purchased in 2010.
