Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. While operating the vehicle, the tire pressure monitoring system erroneously indicated that the air pressure in the rear passenger tire was low. The contact inspected the tire and determined that the air pressure was normal. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number 11V511000 (wheels). The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 53,000.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system failed as the contact rotated the tires. The system failed to notify of any pressure issues with the tires. The dealer advised the contact that the tires needed to be rotated again to correct the tire monitoring failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,000 and the current mileage was 28,000.
