The 2013 Equinox transmission fluid was very dark when changed at 41 Kmiles. The car is not city driven and does not pull a trailer or carry heavy loads. Average # of occupants is two.
I believe the dark fluid indicates clutch material sloughing off prematurely into the fluid. I do not drive the car aggressively-mostly country driving. The manual calls for 45 Kmile change interval. There must be either a design or manufacturing problem with this transmission (clutches too small maybe?).
