Purchased 2015 Chevrolet Equinox AWD with 31k miles in 2017. By November 2020 I’ve reached 225,751 miles. Each year I’ve had significant issues with check engine issues where the first time I had the usual overconsumption of oil issues which were fixed. Then, the next year same check engine out of nowhere which resulted in a $5800 repair due to emissions issues caused by the catalytic converter failing as well as some related components.
Last week, another year later and another check engine light out of left field. Took my vehicle in to the nearest dealership service and I was told that fuel was found in air lines and metal shavings were found throughout. Vehicle was sent over to the service departments “heavy line tech†for further diagnostic and today I got a message that the service advisor will be calling me the next morning to discuss my vehicle. Has anyone else had similar experiences with their Equinox or have any advice for a long-suffering Chevy owner?
