This was an extreme issue as I was on the interstate doing about 75 when I hit pretty significant rain. I had my wipers on intermittent until then but when I moved them to rapid, they swished maybe 3x, then stopped in the middle of my windshield! 0 visibility in an instant! Had to swerve over to the shoulder (on the fast lane side). Was stuck till rain subsided about 45 minutes later, and then could only drive until cars splashed water on windshield when I would have to pull over and manually run the wipers... Mechanic asked me if they were stuck when I tried to move them as they usually only see that type of damage with trying to remove heavy snow?!

A couple months ago I had my windshield wipers fail during a rain storm. Got it fixed, Now my left one failed while snowing! This is not okay! I work for a traveling agency and need my car to properly work. I have 3 kids that I always have with me as well, my kids safety is my number one priority, I will not drive my car while raining or snowing. I find it highly annoying I'm paying for a car that I cant trust to have my family in! Something has to be done. This is a HUGE safety issue!

My family and I were driving on the highway (me, my husband and, my three kids) when it was down pouring when my windshield wipers stopped working. We had cars and trucks all around. I was so scared I went into a panic attack as the roads are narrow and lots of turnings. Missouri had multiple days of non stop rain I had to drive like that as I work for a traveling hospice agency. Got the windshield wipers replaced, just for it to do it again 2 months later when it was snowing.

Wipers quit working in the middle of a rain storm Sunday evening Almost caused us to wreck couldn't see where we were going. We were 30 miles from the house. This car We bought new has always been parked under a carport. Always have done maintenance from Chevy dealership. We called Chevy dealership in Joplin mo They want to charge us $130.00 just to tell us if there's a recall on the wipers. They said they can't tell us until they look at it to see what's wrong.

Wipers stopped working, looked up on internet. 1000's of complaints about the same issue for just the equinox. I'm sure they use the same parts for other models. All the issues are with the wiper module. The bushings that hold the arm to move the wiper arm breaks. These all seem to happen after the warranty of 36,000 miles and is only covered if you buy the extended warranty.

Why why why if 1000's of people have this issue, why does Chevy not change their part or buy better parts to put in the cars. Is this done on purpose to keep the service centers making money ??? 325 bucks a shot.

The service center man told my wife they fix these all day long because you should not put your wipers on high or it breaks.....WTF.......why have a high speed if you can't use it or its going to cost you 325.00 bucks? He also said he had to replace his own every 3 years ??????????????

Why is there not a recall? Why is there not a part change or better design? Why does Chevy get away with putting knowingly bad parts in their cars and charging people 325.00 per person for at least 10 years from what i see? why why why why
