Directly behind the front tires the edge of the fender folds into the wheel well area, this surface is where the painted steel of the fender ends and the plastic wheel well begins. There is nothing protecting this painted surface from the dirt and rocks that fly up and hit the well area under normal driving, especially where I live in the Northeast where we have tons of sand and salt on the roads in the winter. The paint in this spot has chipped away, working its way onto the side fender where I now have rust forming, this has happened on both sides in the front. Pisses me off every time I look at it!

The paint behind my front wheel wells is chipping off a little bit at a time. It's not a big deal right now as it isn't causing anything to rust but I'm sure it will be in the future. It will also be a hit on the resale value.
