Consumer's vehicle experienced the same problem as stated in recall 00V244000. The air bag warning light inadvertently illuminated. Dealership would not repair the vehicle because this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
Airbag light comes on intermittently. Have taken it to the dealer three time and they say nothing is wrong with it. Turn signals stop work intermittently. Dealership replaced body control module (costing me over $300) did not fix the problem.
Consumer stated that while driving down the road lost power, all of the dashboard lights were gone. Electrical systems failed on the dashboard, but no where else. He was still able to roll the electrical windows up and down, and radio still came on. Also, airbag light came on, indicating there was a problem. Sometimes when this happened air conditioner did not work. This happened 3 times in the last 2 months. Consumer had taken vehicle to dealer/mechanic, and was told to disconnect the battery.this happened to reset the computer. But when this happened a second time, he took vehicle back to dealer/mechanic. They put vehicle on the computer, and could not find anything wrong with it, but yet they changed the ignition switch, which they said could be bad.
Front collision with a tree. Extensive damage. Drivers front fender dented. Bumper partially torn off and headlights fell out. Neither airbag deployed.

Air bag did not deploy. I was struck in the front passenger side of the vehicle and was ran into a tree head on. It is now 5-28-2003 and my car is still in the shop being repaired.
Air bag light and check engine light on. Knocking sound when turning either way in front end and odd tapping sound in rear of vehicle when 1st operating car. Resulting in no airbags operational & possibility of them deploying in error causing possible injury. No cruise control, PCM problem.
Consumer states while his wife was driving the vehicle, hit a pot hole and lost control, having a front collision and neither of the air bags deployed. Dealer has inspected the vehicle 8 times in the last two years with air light sensor.
Electrical problems causing accelerator to stick and using cruise control does the same. Causing wreck with injuries and no airbag deployment upon impact of crash with speed over 55 mph to head on into to tree. Could not stop car even when brakes were applied and had to turn key off to stop car from blowing up.
Air bag light illuminates intermittently, giving off false codes when putting on the machine at dealership. Dealership continued to put in a code to correct air bag light, but light would come on again between 45 - 50 mph.
Air bag readiness light came on traveling approx. 45mph. Stopped car shut off engine then restarted light flashed then remained on. 2 dealers stated this is a common problem.
The vehicle was involved in a frontal collision of 55 - 60 mph and none of the air bags deployed. Before the impact the car fishtailed and skidded on loose pavement and the ABS/ traction control was never activated.
While driving airbag light was blinking, indicating a problem with airbag system. Also, there was a recall for the airbag; but manufacturer was unaware of the recall.
