We have had several problems with our 2002 Impala. We had leaks where the radiator was almost empty and couldn't keep the coolant full. Finally got that fixed but have major problems with no AC/heater blowing, won't even turn on. The menu on the radio is blank, the speedometer has gone blank, the cruise control light is stuck on, and the cruise control has stopped working all together. When you turn the control on for the AC or heater the cruise control light goes on and off. Everything has stopped all together, the gas gauge has stopped working, always on full or drops down to empty and then the empty gas comes on! It's become a nightmare.

The other day when it was raining all the windows fogged up and I was unable to see, had to roll all the windows down just to defog the windows! One thing breaks, we fix it, and then before we know it we are fixing something else. I am hoping to have the issues fixed before winter starts but lack of funds at this moment makes it hard... I really hate our Impala, I wished we never got it, we have had nothing but issues since we got it, then spend more money fixing it. I will never get another Chevy anything again!

Very irritating, still waiting to get the ignition fixed before something bad happens there! I think they should pay us for the pain in the ass we have had to go through just trying to keep the car running on the road, its been and is a nightmare!

My 2002 Impala has so much going on now, it has electrical problems. The check engine light stays on at all times. The low tire pressure light comes on all the time. The turn signals doesn't work The low coolant pops on from time to time. Both headlight, they fog up with water which caused the bulbs to blow. The gas gauge does not work anymore. I got a new ignition switch too months ago.The traction control light pops on all the time. I can't raise my passenger side window up from the driver's side, and just 4days ago my heat and ac stopped working. PS. It looks like me and James. G of Thomasville is having the same problems.

Impala 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Bought my 2002 Chevy Impala new. At just over 36,000 miles had transmission replaced.. then, my AC/HT switch quit working on level 1. AC still works on levels 2-5, so I haven't had it replaced. $387.65 because they have to buy a whole new blower motor/switch.

Impala 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

yea so my a/c stopped working along with the heater.

i knew it was either the fan or the resistor.

first replaced the resistor.

do not do this- if your heat or a/c is not blowing AT ALL. it is the blower motor.

if it works on some settings. not including the gentle breeze from the off position. -replace your blower motor resistor. those are about 50-60 bucks and the motor was 35 on EBAY. runs normally around 60-70 retail.

but god damnit i love my car.

HI! MY CAR JUST DECIDED NOT TO GIVE OUT ANY HEAT OR AIR ONE DAY. I DROVE IT TO TOWN WITH HEAT AND I SHUT IT OFF TO GO INTO A STORE, CAME BACK OUT AND STARTED IT AND I HAD NOTHING.. AND OF ALL TIMES TO DO THIS WE HAD FREEZING TEMPS. IM TALKING BELOW ZERO AT TIMES. SO I SHUT IT OFF AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND STILL HAD NO HEAT , VENT, AC, DEFROSTER. SO I SCRAPED OFF AND WIPED THE WINDSHIELD THE BEST I COULD TO GET HOME.I WAS ALMOST HOME AND THE HEAT CAME BACK ON. SO I THOUGHT OK MAYBE IT WAS JUST TO COLD OUT FOR IT.. THEN I GOT IN AGAIN TODAY AFTER LETTING IT WARM UP FOR 20 MIN. (I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC CAR STARTER) WENT DOWN TO GET IN AND NO HEAT AGAIN. I DROVE IT TO TOWN TO GET MY SON AND IT FINALLY CAME BACK ON ANOTHER 15MIN LATER.

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM??
