When initially started the car revs up high and stays running at a high rpm, turning the car off/on did not resolve the problem. This is a dangerous condition and if forced to drive the car requires a lot of braking to slow the car down. Once the car was warmed up and then stopped/started the condition was resolved. This is my wife's car and this issue has been occurring previously but I have just witnessed it myself - very dangerous for my wife. The problem is intermittent.
