problem #3

2009Jul 06

Impala LS 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 82,000 miles

Started on Monday cruise control is intermittent, shuts off when on the highway going 65 mph, sometime does not work at all, tried switching it off and on, will work when brake is fully depressed and at a stop, then works again for a while, when pushing the accelerate button it goes off again then does not come on again till I shut off engine and then turn on engine. Been reading other sites and they state that it may be the ignition switch, since all fuse and cruise control module are in good condition. If not the ignition switch than may be the brake sensor that is sticking for the cruise control.

No cruise control! pita All the lights on the dash work, no blown fuses, brake switch works fine. One day it just quit with no warning.
