Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

"abnormal tire wear, both outer tie rod ends are bad". 9/10/10 per dealer inspection: Power steering rack & pinion and the right outer tie rod end has excessive play, replaced power steering rack & pinion and right outer tie rod end, 2-wheel alignment. Customer paid labor only, $300.11.

2009 Chevrolet Impala. Consumer states extreme vibration, severe steering difficulties and brake unresponsiveness the consumer stated the brakes were frozen in one position. The dealer machined the front rotors and sanded the pads. The engine shut down and the consumer had to drive in 3rd gear.

The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. The dealer performed a front end alignment and the vehicle continued to pull to the right while driving 25 mph. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to have the wheels realigned. The manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer to have the wheels aligned again, adjust the tow and center the steering wheel. The dealer later informed the contact that the vehicle needed another wheel alignment. The failure mileage was 21,981. Updated 08/27/10. The consumer stated the vehicle has uneven tread wear. Updated 08/3010 updated 08/31/10
