Occasionally, hard to move from park to reverse. After several attempts of turning the car on and off and putting foot on brake, it will eventually release and go into gear.
We were in Colorado Springs, Co on Feb. 25, 2014 (4 hours from home) and car locked in park. We had to get a ride home and called Daniel Chevorlet in Colorado Springs. They towed it to the dealership the next morning because they couldn't get it in gear either. One of the wokers at the dealership "pulled it hard" and was able to
get it in gear. Since it was working again they didn't bother checking the warranty and told us to pick it up so we had to take off work and get someone to take us back to the dealership to pick it up costing additional time and money.
Update from Mar 4, 2014: Picked up vehicle on Feb. 27, 2014. Drove 140 miles and stopped for gas. Again the car locked in park and had to be towed and had to call for someone to pick us up. This dealership said there was a broken wire in the wiring harness and gear shift was bent probably from being "pulled hard" by previous worker so the gear shift had to also be replaced. It cost $146.00 for the wiring harness which they said was not covered under the extended warranty but the gear shift was covered plus time off work and gas.
On October 28, my Daughter Jamie Collins bought a 2010 Impala from Jay Chevrolet in Highland, MI. On November 10, 2013 the car locked in park. Dealer claims it is the wiring harness and will cost $300-500 to fix and is not covered by the extended warranty we bought. Not sure that I want to keep a vehicle that breaks down this soon after driving it off the lot. No more Chevy's for me.
