Every so often the anti theft light comes on and my wife is stuck wherever she is for 20+ minutes. One time the light came on while driving and the car died. Went to the Chevy dealer and they said it was impossible, they borrowed the car to drive around their lot and it happened to them. After a week of putzing around they replace the AC control panel; from what I can see this has no relationship with the anti theft system whatever. They were P/O d when I told them I was not going to pay for 50 hours of mechanics time and a new control panel unless they could explain to me how the panel tied into the anti theft system and what was so difficult that it took their guy 50 hours to troubleshoot.
They started to give me the song and dance about how complcated cars are nowadays, shut them up fast with my business card, I am an EE and ME working for a high tech company.
I did not pay for their BS.
