I currently own a 2001 Chevy Malibu V6 3.1L.
The main problem that I have that really worries me is when I am driving whether i'm on the road or freeway, my car will just shut off on me all gauges in the dashboard just shut off like if I shut the key off. It's very dangerous not only for me but other drivers. When it happens, I do my best to safely coast to the side without getting into an accident! When i'm safely on the side of the road, I try starting the car and sometimes all the gauges will turn on or start working when I turn the ignition key to on and the car will start again, and I will be on my way again. Other times when i'm trying to restart the car, all gauges in the dashboard will not work at all and the car won't start! I dont know what it could be? It frustaits me all the time. Everytime I go to use my car, I dont know if it's going to even start or if it starts, I don't know if it's going to turn off on me while I'm driving. There's times where I'm holding up traffic at an intersection red light because my car decides to shut off while i'm waiting for the light to turn green.
I do have my check engine light on in my car, i've taken my car for a diagnostics test at Autozone and there's several OBDII Codes that have to do with the Emmisions, some are 02-Sensor and other sensors having to do with the ABS Brake System. As far as I understand none of those codes would cause my car to just shut off while I am driving. When I go to start my car in the mornings, sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont! Theres times when it starts it will then shut off several minutes later or at times it will run fine.
If anyone out there that has gone through anything similar to what I'm going through and was able to fix the problem, PLEASE Help me out? I would greatly appreciate it a lot.
Sincerley,
Mike M.
