The clips and possibly screw(s) of the plastic housing of driver’s seat electrical seat movement components have broken. I have never seen this happen in any car I have driven or ridden in. I am under 100 pounds and surely didn’t break this because of my weight! Two Chevy dealers have said and a district manager confirmed that I am responsible to pay for the cosmetic repair. I am appalled that Chevrolet is standing by this shoddy quality and possibly workmanship. The white fastening clips look flimsy. They resemble packaging clips. I can’t believe a top of the line Malibu does not endure cosmetically as expected. I am really disappointed in the quality of the Malibu LTZ interior and I am disgusted that Chevy won’t take care of this gratis. I don’t accept the Chevy representatives attributing this problem to “normal wear and tearâ€.
