Very expensive to fix, safety is at stake, this should have a recall especially since the GM part is discontinued. Took to dealer on September 12, 2018 to verify earlier findings. Same thing, part discontinued and trying to find a used part, replacement is $1300. This is still a good vehicle for us, we are retired and on a fixed income; aside from that we care for our grand children who ride in our vehicle, 3 teenagers and a toddler. No parts = hazardous car/ too expensive to fix = dump a good car.
