Monte Carlo SS 3.8L

After driving a bit, the transmission begins to hard shift, and I hear a whizzing noise. It will usually begin after a while but doesn't stop unless I turn the engine off. Sometimes it will reoccur after restarting and at times waits a bit but its relatively a constant prb. Fluid seems to be full and I don't smell burnt fluid but it has been a while since changing. One final note, if I take the gear out into neutral, the car jumps while this is occurring where if its working normally, this will not happen.

Update from May 13, 2010: The engine has a power falloff as it gets to rev up in driving as if the cylinders are missing 1, 2 or 3. Sometimes will kick in again but its never solid. Replaced O2 sensor and TPS module, still acting up. Need hellp
