I know this site states each problem should be counted separately however, I had the same problem on both 2003 S-10's I've owned. The first time my ignition would not turn on it came apart in my hand. I was lucky truck still under warranty. Chevy towed it in & fixed it at no cost to me. Then years later a semi-truck flat bed pulled out in front of me in the winter. I tried to miss it because had I kept going forward I would have been decapitated. I eventually steered toward the ditch to my right but before I could get into the ditch his front end got in my way. I purchased a used 2003 S-10 with 98,000 miles on it, same color as my new one/totaled. I had no issues until last year my ignition started acting up. I put key in and it would not turn. I'd take key out and try again this worked the third to fourth time I would try however 10 months later it is the worst. I for a while had to push on the brake and jiggle the shift lever eventually it would turn on. Now today 5/12/2017 it is the worst. Yesterday I thought it was dead. I did get it to turn after 10 minutes of trying everything now, same issue today. I'm wondering what date and where will I be when it totally craps out & I'm stranded. ANY KNOWN CHEAP FIXES????

Don't know why, but the key dosen't always turn in the ignition. You have to flip the key over and wiggle it to start it. Another stupid problem chevy says dosen't happen all that often. MORE BULLSHIT FROM CHEVY!

I had to have the Ignition Column replaced twice in the same week, 5 months after my 3 year warranty expired. The car keys would not turn, everything locked up. Very bad. Having it fixed now. They charged me $207 for labor and waived the parts for me however they have to fix again in the same week!!
