When going to take off after coming to a complete stop, I can hear and feel the gears grind. My truck does want to move forward, i'm not forcing it to go i'm just worried that a gear might have gotten chewed up.

Silverado K1500 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Two transmissions in this truck. One quit working because of a $3 fuse. However, the guy I bought it from just drove the truck with no lower gears, causing the death of the tranny. I installed the second tranny and the lower gears in it did not work either. Finally, I replaced the auto tranny fuse and everything worked fine.
