I had bought my 2005 Chevy Silverado in January after owning several Ford products. I took a trip to Kansas City and on the way back My truck started to back fire and miss. At time it go so bad my head would be jerked back and forth. I thought maybe I had bought gas with water in it so I continued home. When I stopped for more gas the problem stopped as well. About a week later I was on my way to work and the truck started again. It backfired then all of my gauges went crazy. The vehicle completely stopped running and I had to have it towed into the dealership. I had lost a crank position sensor, abs sensor, and my computer had to be replaced. I am still having the same problem with the missing and backfiring and chevy is telling me this is normal when you let off the gas while driving for the truck to backfire or miss it is the computer trying to readjust to the throttle change.
