A few days (approx 10-12) prior to the Fuel Pump Failure, we had and engine light and was instructed to replace the gas cap, which we did with an OEM gas cap and it appeared to correct the problem. But 10-12 days later on a very dark country road the truck stopped completely. It was an extreme safety hazard as it was dark and many cars in the area on a country road and when it stopped, it had to be physically pushed out of this busy roadway. After having the vehicle towed we were told that due to the mileage 46,000+ that it was not covered under the warranty, but was later told that with a $200 deductible paid by us that it was covered under the extended warranty we purchased (we never purchased an extended warranty). So we paid the $200 deductible and the dealership replaced the Electronic Fuel Pump, Evap Vent Solenoid, and a fuel level sensor. All this was done by Certified GM Mechanics at the dealership with Certified GM OEM parts. Okay next complaint coming up. Forward to July 2013 and 32,454 miles later, ala same problems. See next complaint.
