Have had an issue with this car running slow at acceleration from day 1. Just thought it was because it was a smaller engine than I am used to. Three months ago, it began accelerating on its own, like a bolt of gas from nowhere. ( Scary) and having trouble going uphill even in the smallest way. Then the engine light popped on. Took it to the dealer where they found it to be the air intake duct. Said it was cracked. Cost...$442.89 to fix. Then I look on line and see this happening to many Sonic owners. I believe this should be a recall! But it isn't. Funny though how I received a recall to update the program of the radio and SPS program because we KNOW this is dangerous to the driver. I will NEVER buy a Chevy again! All I want is for my car to be fixed!
