hot air in driverside vent only

heater blows hot air on driver side vent only. dealer tells me heatercore is restricted. engine coolant rated for 100000 thousand miles. should NOT be happening car has 77000 miles on it. really pissed! looking for help from Chrysler. any suggestions? dealer wants 1300.00 dollars to fix. REALLY!
