Driver's active headrest deployed while driving. There was no accident or collision of any kind. Just driving and it popped me in the back of the head. It hurt and caused me to swerve, almost caused an accident. There are no lamps or warning lights. I can see a broken plastic clip inside the active headrest.

Both of my headrests popped open for no reason. The passenger headrest happened two years ago and the drivers seat headrest happened this week. The vehicle was not involved in any type of collision or impact when the headrests popped open. I was driving smoothly on the road when they happened.

Chrysler 200 2012 has issue with headrest assembly on driver side. I had it diagnosed from Chrysler dealership. I also read recalls regarding this issue in same cars but when I put my car's VIN # to check any recall it says 0 recall. Can you help to see if this can be fixed. It is a driving safety issue.

Purchased new from Chrysler dealers lot in April 2012. When cleaning back seats with vacuum noticed frayed fabric on the seats were the stitching is, as if the stitches had severed the fabric and in just about every stitch on every seat same thing took it in to the dealership to have it assessed and was told they would contact Chrysler and call me. I had to take the car back in for photos to be taken and it turned out they were not adequate (black interior) so I waited and waited and called to see what the hold up was and was told Chrysler needed better pictures.went back to dealership and showed them exactly what the issue was and pushed on the seat to reveal that indeed there was frayed material.Chrysler contacted the dealership and told them to get pictures without pushing on the seat, took it in again and had pictures taken and was told in the mean time the dealership was told by Chrysler to get a quote from an upholsterer in regards to new front and back seats. I had to call the dealership once again after not hearing from them for an extended amount of time only to be told that Chrysler is not going to replace the seats, there is nothing that can be done.

Two weeks later I received a recall notice. 9/13/13 -- headrest replaced, scrubbing under car persists, front power outlet not operating again, car continues to hesitate during acceleration, brake not operating well and ticking under hood continues. Multi-point inspection complete no problem detected. 10/12/13 ? recall notice received via usps. I immediately reported to the hollywood service department and tech performed recall #N38 on active head restraints?reprogrammed computers for all headrests. Multi-point inspection performed car system running and battery strength is good. 11/01/13 ? car hesitating to start on occasions and front power outlet not working. Multi point inspection performed computer diagnostic shows no codes. 11/25/13 " car was towed on Sunday, 11/24 because it would not start and power outlet blown again.
