i bought my car with 40 miles on it. Less than a month after my brakes started to squeak. I took it into the dealership they said "some new cars do that". They said they test drove it and it didn't squeak but replaced brakes anyways and bled them...now 4 years later it seems like the squeaking never stops so annoying and embarrassing.

I bought this previously owned car Dec 2013 with approx 1400 miles on it. I immediately noticed the brakes squeaked when I back up. I took it back to the dealer who said there was nothing wrong with the brakes, there was nothing they can do to fix it. I have dealt with this annoyance for three years. I didn't realize that other people were having the same problem until I came across this site. It is time to have the brakes replaced. Hopefully, the noise will stop when the brakes parts are replaced. I will let you if that will solve the problem.

Annoying when backing up in the morning, but ceases when going forward. Doesn't happen all the time, just when first starting out in the day and it has rained the night before or moisture on the ground. the car is in a garage overnight.

The car made squeal when backing up. Had brakes checked, claimed it was rust on the rotors scrubbing off. Continued to have this problem, replaced the rotors when I did the brakes for the first time. Still have same problem and had chrysler rotors put on and they start to rust after the first rain storm, what the heck. No quality with this car.

Shortly after I purchased this car, the brakes started squeaking when in reverse. At my scheduled maintenance I had them check the brakes. My answer was..."it's an annoyance, not a safety issue". An annoyance is putting it mildly!!! It's not just a little noise. I was given no solution ...it's a sedan thing.

Now I have another issue, I think it is the suspension or maybe the steering. Again, I had them check it when I took it in for the oil change/service. Again I got the standard Chrysler answer, it's not a safety issue. This was after I was told they didn't hear anything or find anything. How then do they know it's not a safety issue? After driving for awhile, most noticeable making turns, going over speed bumps, parking, taking off from a stop.... These annoyances are making this car undesirable.

Anybody else having this problem?
