Get frequent and annoying "service blind spot system" message. Took off rear quarter panel, removed and cleaned sensor, gently warmed with blow dryer and replaced. Area was chocked with mud and debris. No protection whatever for what must be sensitive electronics. Still have fault. Other threads suggest repair cost (sensors will need to be replaced) near $3000. Dealer says system cannot be turned off.
