I was riding on the passenger's side of my van one day and decided to take my shoes off to get comfortable when I noticed my feet was getting wet. I had no ideal at first what was happening or as to while the floor was wet. I thought maybe the floor was just wet from maybe something that had been wasted on the floor. I never gave it a second thought until I notice a white something at the bottom of the floor which looked like mold and sure enough that was just what it was. I later found out that the water from the air conditioner that was supposed to have been draining outside of the van was instead draining inside on the floor. I have mold all around the drain opening inside the van. I will have to replace the carpet and hopefully not the floor underneath. I did contact the dodge service center and told them about the problem and they already knew the problem exist. I also contact the chrysler company and told them about the problem and at first they said they would give me some help in fixing the problem, but after I called back and told them what the dealer said they said because it was no longer under warranty that they could not do anything. I know it was a problem that they was aware of because there was a tsb number. The van should have been recalled but they chose to just ignore the problem. The dodge place told me that they would have to replace the drain hose that was too short with a longer hose, which would cost me at least 90.00 to $100.00. I decide to go some where else since it wasn't under warranty no more anyway and find something very interesting. There was no hose that was too short, as a matter of fact there waw no hose at all on the vechicle. I was told that it was factory defect and that the was the drain was made it had no other choice but to drain inside instead of outside. I paid for that service and now I will have to pay some more money to get my carpet cleaned of replaced. I feel that someone other that the customer should have to pick up; this tab or atleast half. If I would have taken it to them I would have not ever known that it was a defect.
