Caravan THE ONE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,500 miles

I hate this DODGE ! I have 4 kids and was going 65 miles on a highway and then it stopped on me!!! it was doing a little slipping here and there and was a pain but then it STOPPED !!! on the highway with two little kids on the back! Luckily there was no other car behind me and nobody run me down ! I had to call AAA and pay them $68 for towing me back home. I wasn't going to drive it back home like that!!!
Went to a garage to garage to fix it and they told me that Their Computer can't tell them what is going on with the transmission and until the lights come on they won't be able to help me!!!
basically- UNTIL I WRECK it or someone does it into me from the back or the best way! from the front or a side ways - and I will have to tow it there- they won't be able to fix it.
by then the insurance will right it off for max $3000 and I can buy tires for my next NEVER AGAIN ! DODGE CARAVAN! bought it in Nov. 2004. was dodge 2005 caravan for ~$22000. after 3.5 years it is a piece of JUNK ! And I love my car, Don't take me wrong but it is falling a part on me after only 3.5 years. we have Saturn car and it is 8 years old and runs like NEW. HELP ME!!!

How can a 3 year old Dodge Caravan at 73840 Miles have a blown transmission??Dodge wont help. It's going to cost about $1900. Never again will I buy a Dodge or Chrysler vehicle. My next Vehicle will be a Japanese or Korean Vehicle since the US can't get it right.

(reported on)

Caravan V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,000 miles

While I am in the middle of nowhere in SE Texas, my transmission starts to downshift violently as I am driving through a town. My standard warranty is out, and after carefully driving it back to DFW, they are trying to give me the run-around on the car's "Canadian warranty" on the engine and transmission. This car sucks.
