I've complained to winner ford where I bought the suv from every since I bought the suv about how it jerks as it shifts gears and it hesitate and slowly shifts into gears when you pull of at a light. An this has been going on from day one they have looked at it but always said they couldn't make it do it while they had the car. They never took it out and drove it because I always checked my miles and they never put any miles on the car. I'm just fed up with this lemon that I will be paying for, for the next five years because I had a seven year loan on this vehicle. Please help me with this matter

Journey 4c

  • Automatic transmission
  • 92,000 miles

Transmission started acting really crazy today, not shifting, then jumping into gear, started smoking, engine light came on. Had it diagnosed was told it was gear 3 and 4 module issues...which rep had tested said it might be a solenoid. I'm sick of this car and will never get another Dodge or anything associated with Dodge again..warranty is over, don't know what this is going to cost..great way 2 bring in the New Year.

All start on Sept 1 2015, I was driving around in Mississauga when I noticed that transmission did not change gears and start making a noise, hard noise.

I was close home and immediately park the park, and stay there for couple of weeks; until one night I decided to turn on the car and went for a short ride around the block, I star driving it again but just few km to my train station, no more that 5 km apart.

Apparently once the transmission get hot start causing those problem, the gear shift become hard to move and it start making that noise.

I do not have the money to go to dealer or garage to check it out, maybe that well me my Christmas present for 2015.

I hate that car....

Journey SXT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

The transmission will hesitate to shift in all gears and will jerk and act a fool when you are driving slowly. Very annoying. Took it to the dealership of course they say it isn't under warranty. They say it needs an update on the computer. I did this $350 update last year and now it is doing the same thing again. I am so ready for another car but I am so upside down in this vehicle now that I can't get rid of it.

Journey SXT V6

EVERY SINCE I HAD THIS VEHICLE, I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. IN 2009 WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW I TOOK A TRIP TO SOUTH CAROLINA. WHEN I RETURNED TO BALTIMORE THE CAR WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE. CALLED THE DEALER THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM, THEN I RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE POWER TRAIN. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO FIX (NOT). NOW IF I DRIVE THE CAR OVER 40 MPH THE ENGINE REVS LIKE ITS ABOUT TO BLOW, THEN IT TAKES OFF LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL. SO NOW THE DEALER IS TELLING ME I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION WHICH WILL COST ME 3000.00, MONEY I DO NOT HAVE. SO I'M STUCK WITH A LEMON. HEART BROKEN AND LOST.

Journey 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,156 miles

Sorry guys but there is no solution to this problem, i am merely here to tell you to not waste your time... ive been to 5 different dealerships and they all had the same thing to say.

the transmission shifting erratically at low speeds and jerks in between shifts, its appearently "NORMAL". ive test driven all the 6 speed journeys in the lot and they all act the same way. these transmissions were used in the discontinued "CHRYSLER PACIFICA" and they carried it forward to the journeys.

conclusion, every six months check with dodge to see if they have any "FLASH" upgrades.

good luck.
