My dashboard or cluster light stays on even if you turn off the engine. This happens sometimes so the problem is intermittent. Took it to the STEALERSHIP and found out that the issue is with Body Control Module (BCM) which is very expensive to fix and replace. I am not sure if i can use a used BCM. Anyway, stay away from Dodge vehicles. Dodge is known for electrical issues such as TIPM failure, Fuel pump relay getting stuck on, neutral safety switch problem etc.

Journey SE 2.4L

Reported to dealer that battery drains on regular basis however takes full charge and runs at 13.5V and they checked battery drain which at the time was .5 but on second check 0. I then noticed my dash lights stayed on after exiting the vehicle so naturally staying on overnight the battery was dead the next morning. Big NUISANCE ! After checking the internet I found all kinds of problems with the Dodge Journeys and how mechanics always said it was the battery, which incidentally is located in an outrageous place. You buy a battery for $100. and it costs $150. to install it ! Anyway I set about trying to figure out what was going on and in the end found that what worked most of the time was first door open must be last door closednevertheless we now always wait to ensure the lights go off. If the dash lights dont go off I get back in the car and without starting the car push the button to engine on, wait until the radio comes on, turn the ignition off, get out, and wait about 8 seconds for the lights to go off. Sometimes this procedure has to be repeated several times. The dealer now says I need a new BCM at a cost of $600. installed but Im not convinced ie: can it not be flashed. Worst vehicle I have ever owned !! Never again a Dodge.
