The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, the speedometer was inoperable with the ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle was unable to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the wiring harness was corroded from water damage. The mechanic unhooked the wiring harness and drained the water from underneath the hood. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with ABS control module failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
