Neon Sport

I dont know what the problem is, all I know is the car runs fine until it is idling and stopped. Then the car jerks forward, but stays in place. The engine sounds like it's chugging. I don't know if it's an engine problem. It doesn't accelerate as fast as it should either. What is the problem with it?
