I got this car used with 7100 miles on it. At about Im gonna say 25,000 miles the car would act like it was going to idle out at stop signs and it would jerk a little bit. After checking all fluids and seeing that they were all there and nothing was low I guessed it was just a freak occurence... WRONG!! These symptoms continued until about 43000 miles and one day on my way home from work for lunch the check engine light came on and the car would not go over 35 miles an hour. There was found to be nothing wrong mechanically with the car and after talking to a few mechanics the best solution anyone could come up with was to change the tranmission fluid. This seemed to fix the problem for about 7000 miles, then we had the transmission fluid flushed and changed again because the car would make a noise like it was really trying to push to go anywhere. Then a couple days ago I was going somewhere (4000 miles later) and the car acted like it DID NOT want to go then I was pretty much rolling backwards down a hill . So I stopped at a gas station and fluid was POURING out of the transmission area. I thought okay maybe this is just a leak... WRONG again!!! I towed it to a local dodge dealer (same place that changed the fluid) and they decided that they needed to look inside the transmission. They called me after I had been trying to get answers for four days and told me "your tranmission is pretty messed up ma'am!" THANK GOD I have a 70,000 mile extended warranty. I was told I need a NEW transmission. I will be getting a NEW car soon. I am so sick of this whole ordeal.
