Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Ram 1500 3.9L V6

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9L 2WD. The truck is cutting out and stalling, it runs fine when it wants to sometimes it is very bad and stalls alot other times it doesn't stall for days. 2 Days ago it stalled and didn't start back up, I towed it to a shop and got it scanned no codes came up. The mechanic said coil pack or immobilizer. The truck has plenty of power and doesn't sputter or give me a warning when it stalls. If anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix it please let me know!!

New Parts: Catalytic Converter Fuel Filter Upstream and Downstream Oxygen Sensors Idle Air Control Valve

Possible Problems: Coil Pack Immobilizer Cam Position Sensor Crank Position Sensor Throttle Body Position Sensor

Any other suggestions??

Ram 1500 3.9L V6

Hi, I bought a 1996 dodge ram 1500 2wd 3.9L and the thing is stalling out at first it would stall 20 times going back and forth to school (10 km). It would stall at stops and when i was going a steady speed like 50. It has plenty of power and doesn't sputter or anything. I got it scanned and it stalled while on the scanner and no codes came up. The catalytic converter is brand new as well as the fuel filter. I have replaced the upstream and down stream 02 sensors and the idle air control valve. After i replaced these sensors it ran like a dream for a week solid no stalling what so ever. Now it is stalling again and it died on me today and will not start. I do not want to go and buy hundreds of dollars worth of sensors i just dont have the cash.

Whats new: Cat Fuel Filter Both 02 sensors Idle air control valve

Possible problems?: Coil Pack Throttle body position sensor Cam position sensor Crank position sensor

Any other suggestions or the exact same problem???? PLEASE HELP
